How My Life Almost Killed Me – I Need Your Help

It was 8:30 PM on mild 103 degree evening in July of 2014. This was the day that my life was going to kill me. As sure as you read this, I was sure it was over.

Just an hour previous I was in bumper to bumper traffic caught in my daily commute. The headaches were more common, the physical fatigue was overwhelming.

Some days I don’t remember pulling off the interstate exit. It would not be uncommon to sit in the driveway once home simply sitting trying to gather the energy to get out of the car and into the house.

STRESS! Stress was the main culprit that was pressing the boot on my neck.

Lucky for me, my family and my work – I found a way through it.

After meeting with a close friend in the medical field he told me one phrase that changed my life forever.

“Cortisol is the issue, you need to get it under control.”

When you Google Stress Management everything that comes up is specific to holistic approaches like meditation and hot baths. Those things are great yet when you run 110 MPH, that isn’t realistic.

So the science of stress became my everything.

You see after 16 months of research, giving blood every month, taking over 32 different variations of supplements and recording the journey through video, my blog and 7 notebooks – I felt life was better than I can remember it being.

Here is the big news I promised this week:

I have completed a book, natural supplement line and personal consultations to help you! To launch these things I need your help….

If you could take just 2 minutes to tell me what your single biggest stress concern that you have struggled with recently, I would like to help you with what’s been holding you back.

It would mean the world to me and most importantly this information will help me gear upcoming emails towards topics that you specifically want to know more about!

The first 100 people that complete the survey, I will be offering a 40% discount off for the first program launched as soon as it is available!

Thank you so much for the support!

Cheers to an amazing 2016.

Self Mastery Depends on Self Honesty

“Know first who you are and what you’re capable of.” – Epictetus

Just as nothing great is created instantly, the same goes for the perfecting of our talents and aptitudes. We are always learning, always growing. It is right to accept challenges. This is how we progress to the next level of intellectual, physical, or moral development. Still, don’t kid yourself: If you try to be something or someone you are not, you belittle your true self and end up not developing in those areas that you would have excelled at quite naturally.

Within the divine order, we each have our own special calling. Listen to yours and follow it faithfully.

The above comes from one of my favorite books, The Art of Living by the Stoic – Epictetus.

With the road to 2016 now only 2 days away, I couldn’t help but personally reflect on the above passage. The areas I have found the most personal growth is when I started caring less of what others would think, and focused on myself and others in my life that really mater.

We all have our own personal calling. Are you listening? Make today great.

Cheers,

Opportunity

“Any opportunity that comes to your life is your own creation; it does not come of itself, nor by chance ‘good luck’.”  – Parmahansa Yogananda

Opportunity- Para-Gram

“Any opportunity that comes to your life is your own creation; it does not come of itself, nor by chance ‘good luck’. Opportunity is either created now, or has been created at some time in the near or distant past, by your own rightly guided will.

If you see not opportunity now, create one by your will, which is divine instrument within you. Say, ‘I will do everything for myself with my own will, which is a reflection in me of Divine Will.’ Act on this truth, and opportunity will come to you.”

– Parmahansa Yogananda

As you head into the new year, how are you preparing for new opportunity? From work to personal relationships, what new things will come your way, and how will you use or pass by these opportunities?

My First Million Dollars and the Meaning of Wealth

“The best thing about having more, is the ability to give more.” – Kolby Kolibas

This is such a great time of year to be closing strong and gaining momentum for the new year. I can tell you that wasn’t always the case in my thought process. You can relate right? We ramp down with our business and clients the week of Christmas. Then we get back and things are relatively slow into the New Year festivities. Then you can assure that people are a bit hung over from family, over spending and the schedule of relaxation becomes comfortable.  No need to jump back into things until the second week of January right?

That is 3-4 weeks of time we normally slack and relax.

WRONG!

I read a great article from Ryan Stewman, The Hardcore Closer – Titled Why Settling for a 6 Figure Income in Sales is a Bad Idea.

The basis of the article is on having multiple irons in the fire. I don’t mean spreading yourself thin, I mean diversify and expand. Let me feature some quick math to put some things into perspective.

“I’m gonna just come out and say it. “Being a millionaire is the new middle class” there. In my parent’s day, making $100k a year meant something. In today’s times, making $100,000 in 12 months can still leave you completely broke. Half goes to taxes and if you pay $2,000/month in rent, 75% of your income is gone from the jump. That leaves you with only $25,000 to pay all your bills for the year.” –Why Settling for a 6 Figure Income in Sales is a Bad Idea. /Ryan Stewman

This year has been interesting to say the least. With many personal & business trials – I was hit with major set backs. Yet I am not unique – we all struggle. The biggest similarity was one thing – I kept making excuses not to launch some of the core things I know will be helpful to others and draw supplemental income that could be an additional 6-7 figures in 12 months.

You see I have always had a financial goal of $10+ million in the bank. Well that takes making my first million right?

This goal has not been to buy a bunch of shit that I don’t need. I am actually going the other way as I get older. You see the more I gain financially, the more I can help others. From clean water projects that I want to launch overseas, to bringing technology and teaching code to underprivileged schools across the USA. These things are expensive – yet with a ground swell, I can reach these goals financially to launch and gain huge momentum to help others.

So let’s do the math on the road to $1 million dollars in one year.

The YEAR:

  • 365 Days
  • 12 Months
  • 52 Weeks
  • 8760 Hours
  • 525600 Minutes

The Money

  • $1 Million Dollars in 365 Days I Need to Make $2,739.72 a day

The end of the year is a perfect time to close out open items in 2015, and help you gain huge momentum into the new year. This is the time others are slacking and you can be building. Personally I have spoken with some close friends that are all in the 7 figure income bracket or very close. They are ramping and grinding hard right now – not pulling back. There is a reason for that.

Ok so now knowing what the goal is, it’s time to get cracking!

Cheers!

Breathing Properly is More Important Than…..

QOTD-Breathe

“The Infant draws its first Breath – and lives! The Old Man ceases to Breathe – and life ends for him.”

Chapter Seven: Deep Breathing & Exercises / Natural Remedies by Ingrid Sherman 1970

Whenever you find time, go outdoors and look into the SKY for ten to fifteen minutes. On a warm summer’s day lie down on the grass – sun is back of you, so it will not shine into your eyes. Gaze into the sky or sit by a window looking into the sky. Take a few deeps breaths while looking out, make your mind blank. You will find it very relaxing.

For inner peace and harmony say the following: (You can do this sitting or laying down)

  1. I Draw new life into my system
  2. I breathe in positive vibrations
  3. I direct this new life to my brain for purer thoughts
  4. I direct these pure thoughts into my subconscious mind
  5. I direct them into each part of my body
  6. I store them up in my solar plexus
  7. I breathe in God’s health, God’s strength, God’s courage, and God’s peace

When drawing peace the word God is used to reference higher beings or sources of energy. From Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed to great creation – draw energy and peace. Kolby

Deep Breathing Exercise:

  • Inhale with a steady breath through the nose with the mouth closed, then pull in two or three little “sniffs” of air. This will fill the lungs completely.
  • Breathe slowly out through the mouth, exhale more and more until your lungs are completely emptied.
  • On the last breath out, hold as long as you can before a deep breath in.
  • Repeat 3-5 times
  • Do in the morning when you arise and in the evening prior to sleep.

Breathing has changed many things for me. From stress management to cognitive functions -it helps.

Cheers!

The Routine or Continuous Activities

Rule 4 of the Theory of Karma by Hirabhai Thakkar

Whichever activities a man does from his birth to death, from morning to night, from Monday to Sunday, from the beginning of the month to the end of the month are called the running or routine activities or continuous actions.

Such Actions certainly give us the due result or one has to bear the consequences.

The only are the pacified.

For Example;

  • You are compelled to dine when you get hungry.
  • You have to drink water when you are thirsty.
  • You have to take a bath when you want to be fresh.
  • You have to bear the pain of the slapping if you have abused someone.

Thus the action of Karma results into good or bad consequences and one has to submit to them without any grumble.

One can’t escape from the consequences of his or her own Karma.

Throughout my life I have been on the giving and receiving of both of good and bad Karma as a result of my actions. As I have matured and aged, my goal has always been to keep my karmic balance at a positive for good. In Rule 4 – every action has a reaction. Every consequence is a direct response to ones action or Karma.

This is a great season to remember the values of giving. The trick is to carry that past the holiday into a set of actions that become habit.

Happiness in Giving

“Remember that there is no happiness in having or getting, but only in giving.”

“Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or getting, but only in giving.”

“Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.”

Og Mandino

As we head into the season, it is a great opportunity to remember the gift that is in giving. Have a great week.
